bliss Energy Balls  

Mixed nuts, seeds and dried fruits are the perfect ingredients to create your own bliss energy balls. Seeds are considered lighter in Ayurveda and can be used during all four seasons.    

Ingredients 

Mixture of nuts, almonds, pecan, pistachio

Mixed seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds

Dried Fruit pitted dates, figs, apricots, raisins and cranberries

Warming spices, ginger, cinnamon  

Maple syrup for sweetness

In a food processor pulse together 100 grams of nuts/seeds and 100 grams of dried fruits together with a pinch of warm spices. Add a tsp of maple syrup or adjust to taste and preference.   I occasionally add 1 tsp of ground ashwagandha. Blend all the ingredients until the mixture sticks together. Scoop out the mixture and roll them into bite-size balls. If the mixture is too sticky add a few drops of water.   These are your energy balls which can be stored in the fridge.   

Ashwagandha in India is commonly known as the Indian ginseng or winter cherry.  It helps to foster healthy energy, calmer mind and promotes a more restful sleep.  It is Available at most health and wellbeing stores.
